Bio-Diesel?

I am interested in using bio-deisel fuel instead of gasoline. The hardest part seems to be finding a diesel - engine car to buy. I dont want a truck, but we cant make due with a small car either. Would Canada have better options? I live in NY

  1. Well, Mercedes sells the E-Class with a diesel engine. I believe Chrysler also sells the Liberty with A CRD Diesel engine too. I think they were working on a Grand Cherokee version with a diesel engine too.
  2. I've always heard the Mercedes engines, even the ones from the 80's, made good candidates for the Biodiesel fuel.

  4. Not really, as most Canadian cars are the same as US models. Honda actually has a diesel-powered Accord in Europe, but because US has no market for diesel cars, they don't bring it over. Maybe they'll change their mind... Right now in San Francisco, diesel #2 is 3.05, and regular unleaded 87 is 3.35 at the cheapest places. Add to that diesel cars get more mileage... Fuel savings add up quickly. We have bio-diesel and ultra-low-sulfur diesel too, but those are harder to find.
  5. try craigslist, they often have diesel cars for sell
